The Courthouse Cheshire Wedding Videographer

Mara & Keith got married at the Cheshire wedding venue, ‘The Cheshire Courthouse’ during May 2019.

I had the privilege of meeting them at one of the many wedding fairs that I attend every year. Keith met his Virginia born wife Mara during the London Olympics in 2012. Such a unique love story that lead them to their stunning wedding in the lovely Cheshire town of Knutsford.

A wedding day full of surprises…literally

With no stone unturned, the wedding had so many marvellous surprises that they had organised for one another. I will touch on these below as there were so many.

Mara and Keith spent the evening before their big day staying in the rooms at the Cheshire Courthouse. A building who’s exact official opening date is unknown, however its believed to be around 1820. Over the course of its history it was utilised in the crime and judicial system all the way up until 2016. It then re-opened its doors in 2017, to become one of Cheshire’s most prestigious wedding venues.

The couple had many friends and family members that visited from all over the world. Quite a few from as far as the USA and Brazil.

A colourful theme that was consistent throughout their whole wedding day

Their chosen colour scheme was predominant throughout. With gorgeous flowers supplied by Flowers at the Dutch Barn based in Knutsford, along with venue stylists Butterfly Events who dressed both the ceremony and reception areas. They supplied blossom trees which were a nice visual addition for all the wedding guests.

After their ceremony, the run of surprises began. If you want help with wedding day surprises for your partner or guests, Mara and Keith will be experts for this!

Charlie Brush the wedding chimney sweep, arrived during their drinks reception. Telling all the guests about the traditions of a British chimney sweep. Finishing with the kiss on the cheek from the bride, providing her good luck in her marriage. A british wedding tradition that many people probably don’t know about.

The guests were spoilt with extra appearances from magician Greg Holroyd, along with music performed by jazz band the Jonny Hepbir Quartet. This added a relaxing ambience as any wedding musician/act does.

All the action moved onto the luxurious Cheshire bar The Lost & Found, Knutsford. Which had been decorated with one of the blossom trees, along with elegant table pieces. They wanted a relaxed approach with no formal table seating, along with buffet served food.

The wedding guests once again were brought a couple of surprises. The first one being a visit from a Gordon Ramsey look a like, who entertained the guests with his very happy demeanour…

The final one came after the speeches in the form of Singing Waiters. Performing many well known songs, they also paid homage to Mara’s Virginia roots with ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’. They ensured the guests had smiles on their faces. This was clear to see with them all waving along to their songs as the Cheshire evening drew in.

Keith has a very inspiring true story, where he ran into a burning garage to save a child’s life. Risking his own life in the process. This understandably has many people calling him a superhero. In memoir of this, the stunning three tier wedding cake produced by ButterCup Cakes had two models on top. One of Mara in her wedding dress along with one of Keith wearing a suit and an unbuttoned shirt showing a Superman logo.

Dancing late in to the night, the wedding party were entertained with a bouncing music setlist. All played by DJ Lee Stone on behalf of Love Music Events.

As a wedding videographer, this was a cheshire wedding I truly won’t forget. With so much to capture, this made a truly unique story within their wedding film produced in the heart of Cheshire.
